Adam Roe Painting Receives Top Job Award
Adam Roe Painting (ARP) was recently awarded the top job award by the American Painting Contractor (APC) Magazine. The job ARP completed was to paint and install coatings in the brand-new Swan Falls High School. The school focuses on students wanting to learn a trade.
The project was a large one, requiring 1,850 gallons of paint, primer, and drywall, 150 gallons of floor sealer, and 300 gallons of masonry sealer. There were 3 different paint colors on the exterior, and eight on the interior. The colors represented the different trades offered at the school. They included an anti-graffiti coating to protect the walls from that issue.
This particular project was important to ARP as a painting company because of the nature of the school. As Risa Roe, ARP Vice President and Administrative Manager puts it, “We know there is a shortage of tradespeople to draw from and we hope to see more trade schools and vocational/technical schools forming. We are proud to be a part of building a training facility like Swan to help bring more tradespeople into our community and employment base.”
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, scheduling painting projects was a challenge for service industries like commercial and industrial painting. It was important to keep painters safe while also attempting to meet deadlines. ARP successfully completed the project by the projected end date through constant communication with other contractors and adjusting assigned crew members, as needed.
Safety is always a critical concern of ARP for their team as well as customers and others in the vicinity of the job site. They always have stringent safety measures in place to prevent accidents and injuries. However, keeping their team healthy and avoiding contracting the virus was an added challenge.
They implemented additional safety protocols to ensure social distancing, mask-wearing, and disinfecting routines for surfaces and equipment. Because of these extra precautions, their team remained free of the virus and completed the job on time.
